Ziggy Ramo

Ziggy Ramo is an international award-winning multi-disciplinary artist of Wik and Solomon Islander heritage, who exploded onto the scene with his Australian Music Prize-nominated album Black Thoughts, later named Best Indigenous Hip Hop Record of the Year at the International Hip Hop Awards. He has since won FBi's Song of the Year for April 25th and Album of the Year for both Black Thoughts and his 2023 follow-up Sugar Coated Lies, made his acting and composing debut in the Stan series Black Snow, and in 2023 collaborated with Tim Minchin on the Cannes Lions Grand Prix-winning film Play It Safe. His three-dimensional project Human?, co-published with Pantera Press, hit the top 20 of the ARIA Australian Albums Chart and was shortlisted for an Australian Book Industry Award. In 2025, Ziggy was awarded the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composer Prelude Program, where he is currently in residence.
