Sanggar Kerta, established on October 12, 1991, made a name for itself as the very first shadow puppet workshop in Ubud, delighting tourists with the captivating world of Wayang art. Guided by the talented artist I Made Sukadana (Gender), who passionately wears the hats of both a puppeteer and a Balinese dancer, KERTA Art has evolved into a vibrant haven for active and creative children who harbor a profound love for art and culture. Their educational philosophy is captured in the motto 'every kid is an artist.' This motto beautifully illustrates their genuine appreciation for children as the bearers of our rich artistic and cultural heritage.
