Rasa Acharya Darmayasa is an Indonesian author and religious scholar from Ubud, who has had a lifelong passion for art, literature, and spiritual matters. Darmayasa is a former weekly columnist for Balipost Newspaper, Surabaya Post, and the monthly magazine Media Hindu. He has authored over 70 books and published more than 700 articles. Some of his best-selling works include Pañca Tantra, Cāṇakya Nīti Śāstra, Ahiṁsā Dharma and Vegetarianism, The Glory of Cows According to the Vedas, Diving in the Ocean of Rāmāyaṇa, Spreading Spiritual Pearls, and a translation of the Bhagavad Gītā into Indonesian, which has reached its 83rd edition in just seven years. His translation of the Bhagavad Gītā has also been translated into English, Dutch, Arabic, Maltese, Javanese, Balinese, and Russian.
