What Festival Pass options are available this year?

You can choose between our 4-Day Festival Pass and the 1-Day Festival Pass. With the 1-Day Pass, you will have access to all main events on your chosen day. If you prefer flexibility, opt for the 4-Day Pass and come and go as you please.

Keep in mind, though, that neither pass includes entry to separately ticketed special programmes such as Special Events, Masterclasses, or Cultural Workshops.

How do I purchase a Day Festival Pass?

All our Festival Passes are sold through our ticketing platform. Fees from the payment gateways might apply when purchasing a Festival Pass. If you have queries about our ticketing platform, please contact us via email at ticketing@ubudwritersfestival.com, or WhatsApp.

During Festival week, between Monday, 27 October and Sunday, 2 November 2025, you can also purchase Festival Passes in person at the Festival Box Office located at Jalan Raya Sanggingan in Ubud (View in Google Maps).

I haven’t received my ticket confirmation email, what should I do?

Your purchased Festival Pass will be immediately sent to the email you used upon booking. The email confirmation contains a QR code that our ticketing team will scan, and your Festival Pass (Lanyard) will be handed over at our ticketing office.

If you can’t find it in your inbox, please check your junk mail in case it’s been misfiled.

If you still can’t locate it, contact our team via email at ticketing@ubudwritersfestival.com, or WhatsApp. You can also contact us through our online form by clicking the button below:

We use the standard exchange rate of 1 Australian Dollar (AUD) equals 10,620 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for all our calculations, and for 1 US-Dollar (USD) equals 14,984 Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Please note that for clarity, some figures may be rounded up or down. Customers making in-person purchases have the option to pay in (IDR) Indonesian Rupiah.

What happens if the Festival is postponed or cancelled?

Our Festival Passes are non-refundable. In the event of a cancellation or postponement, the festival may be rescheduled to a later date, allowing you to adjust your travel plans to Ubud.

Please see more information about this and our Ticketing Terms & Conditions.

I changed my mind about my purchase. Can I get a refund for my Festival Funds?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges. You can find more details about this and our Ticketing Terms & Conditions.

Are there discounted tickets?

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of storytelling and inspiring conversation at our Festival. That’s why we offer reduced ticket prices!

Check the list of discounted tickets we offer here.

We have plenty of free events lined up for you, from over thirty Book Launches and Festival Club sessions with fiery poets to a range of art exhibitions and After Dark programmes. Whether you have a whole day or just an afternoon to spare, there is something for everyone at the Festival.

Can I bring my children to the Festival?

We love welcoming younger audiences. Children under twelve must be accompanied by a responsible adult, while those aged 12 (twelve) and over need to have their own Festival Pass.

Can children attend any special ticketed events?

For any Special Event, Masterclass, Cultural Workshop, or any other ticketed event, we recommend that you consider leaving your children with a trusted caregiver to fully enjoy your experience.
