Grace Tioso

Grace Tioso is an Indonesian writer whose debut novel, Perkumpulan Anak Luar Nikah, was one of the winners of the Mizan Writing Bootcamp in 2023 and first prize winner of the Ayu Utami Literary Award for Beginners in 2024; its English translation was shortlisted for the PEN Presents x International Booker Prize in 2025. Grace completed her undergraduate studies in Chinese Language and Literature at Hua Qiao University. Before her debut novel, Grace had published several other books, including The Puzzle of Teenage Life in 2004, The Puzzle of Jomblo Life in 2005, Tuhan Mengapa Aku Harus ke China in 2007, and Tuhan Masih Menulis Cerita Cinta in 2009. She is currently preparing her second book, Dunia Lisbeth, which explores the world of the Deaf community.

Grace Tioso adalah seorang penulis asal Indonesia yang novel debutnya, Perkumpulan Anak Luar Nikah, meraih salah satu gelar juara Mizan Writing Bootcamp pada tahun 2023 dan juara pertama Hadiah Sastra Ayu Utami untuk Pemula pada tahun 2024; terjemahan bahasa Inggrisnya masuk dalam daftar pendek PEN Presents x International Booker Prize pada tahun 2025. Grace menyelesaikan pendidikan sarjananya dalam bidang Bahasa dan Sastra Mandarin di Hua Qiao University. Sebelum novel debutnya, Grace pernah menerbitkan beberapa buku lain, termasuk The Puzzle of Teenage Life pada tahun 2004, The Puzzle of Jomblo Life pada tahun 2005, Tuhan Mengapa Aku Harus ke China pada tahun 2007, dan Tuhan Masih Menulis Cerita Cinta pada tahun 2009.
