About

Kirsti Melville is an Australian award-winning documentary producer with ABC Radio National, based in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Her storytelling is driven by a strong sense of social justice, truth-telling, and a desire to explore the complexities of human relationships. She has travelled to some of the most remote corners of Australia, recording Indigenous communities telling their stories and histories, and has followed her curiosity and compassion into people’s inner worlds. Interviewing writers, thinkers, and human rights advocates at UWRF is always the highlight of her year, though it never helps the wildly expanding pile of books beside her bed.
