Honeymoon Garden

Lontar manuscripts are witnesses to the evolution of written culture in Bali and contain a wealth of knowledge and life experiences of its people. Words connect us not only in our daily actions but also have the power to carry messages to unknown places and people. In this session, you will learn how to write Balinese script on lontar leaves and gain a deeper understanding of Bali’s cultural heritage. Join us to discover how to record, carve, and share knowledge in a form you can pass on to others, all through the medium of ancient lontar manuscripts.

Workshop materials and lontar leaves will be provided. The session will be bilingual in Indonesian and English.

This workshop is presented in collaboration with the Department of Ancient Javanese Studies, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Udayana University, and Komunitas Dinane Mangkin.
